Our History
Founding by Dr. Felix Zandman
Delivers revolutionary Bulk Metal® foil resistors
Dr. Zandman develops Bulk Metal® foil resistors offering unparalleled performance, stability, and precision. Vishay is founded to develop and manufacture the resistors.
First international facility
Manufacturing established in Israel
First manufacturing facility is opened in Israel, commencing a journey that would position Vishay as a global component manufacturer.
Establishing market leadership
Foil resistors, PhotoStress®, foil resistance strain gages
Vishay acquires J.E. Starr’s foil resistance strain gage technology. Dr. Zandman develops PhotoStress® technology.
