All braking systems, including electronic stability program (ESP) / dynamic stability control (DSC), anti-lock braking system (ABS), electromechanical brake (EMB), vacuumless brake booster, and brake by wire (BbW), must actuate hydraulic valves or electric motors within milliseconds of detecting a wheel slip event. There is no room for switching delay or sensor error.

Vishay's power MOSFETs and MOSFET power modules switch the solenoid valves and motors of ABS / ESP and electromechanical brake actuators, while current sensing resistors and non-contacting position sensors provide the fast, precise feedback these closed-loop safety systems depend on. Our inductors and EMI filters ensure clean power, while transient / overvoltage protection devices, reverse blocking diodes, and capacitors protect the ECU through braking events.
