A battery pack's power distribution unit (PDU) must route and protect high voltage current to every subsystem, such as the traction inverter, OBC, DC / DC converter, and HVAC compressor, while keeping resistive losses and heat generation to a minimum.
Vishay's fuses, current sensing resistors, and SiC power MOSFETs provide the switching and protection each distributed circuit requires, while high voltage capacitors and connectors ensure clean, reliable power delivery throughout the pack and Automotive Grade diodes add reverse polarity and fault protection.
